Aspect and Anchor
What happens when one falls in lust/love with a sexy god?
1. BOUND TO THE BATTLE GOD by Ruby Dixon
SYNOPSIS
When I went to my neighborβs apartment to investigate strange sounds, I never expected to fall through a portal into another world. Yet here I am, a stranger in an even stranger land... and Iβm stranded. In this world, might makes right, men carry swords, and gods walk the earth. Within minutes of arriving, Iβm enslaved.
Fun place.
How do I get home? GREAT question. Wish I had an answer.
The one person that might be able to help me is also the one person I want to throttle most. Aron, Lord of Storms, Butcher God of Battle, is my new companion. Or rather, Iβm his. As Aronβs anchor to the mortal realm, Iβm the one thatβs supposed to be guiding him through his exile in the mortal world.
Ha. Jokeβs on him. I know nothing about this place.
But Aron and I have a common goalβget home. And weβre bondedβanchor and godβwith a bond unlike any other. So we travel together. We bicker. We bathe together. We fight our many, many enemies together. And sure, heβs a god, but heβs also an arrogant jerk. Brawny, smoking hot, irresistible jerk. I should want nothing to do with him. I certainly shouldnβt want to do things to him.
Mortals and gods donβt mix. We stick to the plan and ignore our attraction. Focused, with one goal in mind. One task. One goal. Focused.
Iβoh heck, Iβm going to end up kissing him again, arenβt I?
2. SWORN TO THE SHADOW GOD by Ruby Dixon
SYNOPSIS
Adventure.
Itβs what my boring life is missing, so when I fall through a portal into another world, Iβm excited. Here, Iβm important. Here, Iβm special.
I find out just *how* special when I meet Death.
Yup. That guy. Heβs been exiled to the mortal realm to work through his flaws, and heβs just as spoiled and awful as youβd think. Rhagos, the Shadow Lord, is arrogant and rude and controlling and demands to get his way. Heβs selfish. Heβs impossible.
Heβs also utterly gorgeous. Magnetic. Lonely. And strangely protective of me.
Thanks to a magic bond, I now serve him as his anchor to the mortal realm. It means that Iβm his conscience, his guide... and the target for any assassin or glory-seeker. After a few days of this, Iβd rather go home than continue on this βadventureβ. I need a way back to Earth, and fast.
As the world falls down around us and weβre hunted simply for existing, I find myself wondering what it'd be like to serve the lonely god of death... in all ways. To kiss him. To touch him. To bed him.
Except... Iβm supposed to be finding a way home, not trying to kiss Rhagos. No matter how tempting he is. No matter how much he stares at my lips. No matter how much I want it.
3. WED TO THE WILD GOD by Ruby Dixon
SYNOPSIS
When I find a gorgeous stranger in an alley, covered in blood, youβd think the logical thing would be to go to the authorities.
Not me. I take him home.
Iβve got my reasons, though. See, Kassam is cursed with hedonism. Heβs a god from another world, accidentally stuck in ours. Anyone (and everyone) around him falls under his spell. It's impossible to resist. Like scratching an itch. And being around Kassam? Boy, do I itch.
But trying to send the god home to his world is a near-impossible task. Between everyone we meet trying to kiss him and the gods of this world trying to get rid of him, Iβm in over my head. Thereβs only one solution that will keep me safeβmarry him. Being the wife of a god will protect me from immortal machinations.
Now, I just need to figure out a way to protect my heart from Kassam himself.
4. SERVANT TO THE SPIDAE by Ruby Dixon
SYNOPSIS
All my life I have served. One lord after another, I have given them my time, my body and my soul. My newest lord, however, is not one but three.
I have become the anchor to the three Aspects of Fate, the mortal chosen to teach the gods humanity. It seems an impossible task for any mortal to satisfy a godβs wishes and I must serve three?
Three lords means three times the frustration, three times the petty demands... and three times the pleasure.
5. THE SEA-OGREβS EAGER BRIDE by Ruby Dixon
SYNOPSIS
Valessa is in danger. Her town has been captured by Aventinian raiders, the women taken, and now sheβs on a ship destined for nowhere good. But when a terrifying, four-armed sea-ogre pirate boards the ships and demands compensation, Valessaβs luck changes.
The sea-ogre demands a bride. Itβs the perfect opportunity for her to escape. Valessa volunteers. She tells everyone sheβs very experienced with sea-ogres and knows just how to please them. Sheβs very descriptive about it, too.
Thing is... Valessaβs a liar. Sheβs never met a sea-ogre in her life. But it canβt be that hard to keep one man-slash-monster happy, can it?
