1. SECRET PUCK by Rebecca Jenshak

SYNOPSIS

Secretly hooking up with the team captain’s sister was a bad idea. In my defense, the first time I saw her I didn’t know who she was. Kind, gorgeous, a little naïve. Ginny brightened my world from day one. I knew I was no good for her. She was just out of a relationship and I had a reputation for having a new girl in my bed every weekend. I tried to do the right thing. Honest. I’m the one who insisted we should be just friends. That lasted about as long as you’d expect. But Ginny? She’s the best—best friend, best everything.

So yeah, hooking up with the team captain’s sister wasn’t a great idea. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

BOOK REVIEW

I can already tell that Rebecca Jenshak created a very sweet series of quick and easy reads that will keep anyone entertained with witty banter and an extremely likable group of characters who go through their daily life all while dealing with romance. Secret Puck was not necessarily your typical angsty New Adult book but rather a comfort romance that ultimately put a smile on my face.

“You and I are going to be just friends.”
“Friends?” His brows raise. “I don’t have girl friends.”
“You do now.”

Heath Payne was a star hockey player at Valley University, but very down-to-earth, and adorably cute. The guy was almost commitment-phobic, but for some reason, he was drawn to Ginny who was big on all things ‘relationship’. And even though she was ‘off-limits’, Heath made no effort whatsoever to stay away from her.

Ginny Scott was a relatable heroine by being like everybody else. She was your average freshman who just got to a new school and did her best to enjoy her college life to the fullest (because, let’s face it, university days are the best days of lives of the majority of people, they were mine anyway), as well as to find her own self.

The relationship between Heath and Ginny started off on the grounds of sweet friendship despite the constant presence of undeniable chemistry of sexual/romantic nature. I thoroughly enjoyed the playful banter between the two but wished for a bit more steam (the sex scenes were there but much lower in degree than I’d normally prefer).

I’m wishing the clock would move a little slower so we could spend more time together…

Secret Puck was a fun and flirty start to the new series. And I’m committed enough to read book number two.

2. BAD CRUSH by Rebecca Jenshak

SYNOPSIS

Reasons not to crush on Adam:

He’s my best friend’s brother.
He’s my neighbor.
He’s the captain of the hockey team.
He’s a serial monogamist who’s sworn off dating.

Reasons not to fake date Adam:

See above.

He has no idea I actually like him—like really like him.

But do I listen to any of those really great reasons? Of course not.

Now, thanks to my amazing and convincing acting skills, one fake date ends with him being my fake fiancé (oops!). My bad crush has gotten me in way over my head.

3. BROKEN HEARTS by Rebecca Jenshak

SYNOPSIS

She’s a figure skater. He’s a hockey player. Things are about to heat up on the ice.

Rhett Rauthruss is single for the first time in six years. He’s fresh off a long-term, long-distance relationship and ready to make the most of what’s left of college. Party with his boys, get to the Frozen Four with his team, and maybe play the field for a change.

Sienna Hale knows a thing or two about heartbreak. She’s a college athlete about to skate for the last time, and nothing is going to throw her off course. Not her worries about finding a job after college, not the whispers of last year’s accident on the ice, and not the cute hockey player who keeps asking her out.

They think they want different things, but when it heats up between them, there’s no denying they have something in common—even if it’s just for a night.

4. WILD LOVE by Rebecca Jenshak

SYNOPSIS

Johnny Maverick is a lot of things. Great hockey player. Loyal friend. Rule breaker. Always up for a good time. And now, he’s my new roommate.

It’s only for a few weeks while I intern for the Wildcats—his new NHL team. And there are some pros to living with my hot and ridiculous friend (or is that ridiculously hot?). He’s fun and unexpectedly sweet, and he reminds me not to take myself too seriously.

I had no intention of breaking the one rule given to me on my first day on the job: no sleeping with the players. And if I had, I never dreamed that player would be Johnny Maverick.
